Below is an outline of the types of conditions/ treatments that each therapist level can provide. If you are unsure of who to see, please give us a call! We understand that booking online can sometimes be tricky. To simplify the process, we’ve implemented appointment codes in Mindbody. When scheduling your initial or follow-up appointment, each session type includes a code indicating the therapist level:

• REM: Remedial Massage Therapist
• ADV: Advanced Remedial Massage Therapist
• SNR: Senior Remedial Massage Therapist
• PRI: Principal Remedial Massage Therapist​

Remedial Massage Therapist (REM) 

Therapist/s: Vance (HICAPS)

Qualifications:

• Dip. Remedial Massage
• Up to 2 years of remedial massage experience
• Completed Level 1 of the Just Knead It (JKI) Internal Training Program

​Ideal For:

• Relieving tightness, stiffness and/or aching muscles in upper or lower body.
• Full body: 'I'm tight all over. Loosen me up and make me feel great!'
• Sports massage for recovery or pre-event preparation
• I'm stressed, tight, but still want a firm massage.

Advanced Massage Therapist (ADV)

Therapist/s: David and Vance (HICAPS)
Qualifications:

• Dip. Remedial Massage
• 2 years of remedial massage experience
• Level 1 & 2 JKI Internal Training

• ​Focused treatment for areas of tightness such as neck/ shoulders/ lower back/ hips
  
• Support sports performance/ recovery
  
• Managing chronic muscle tightness with enhanced techniques for sustained relief

Senior Massage Therapist (SNR)

 Therapist/s: Alison (HICAPS)

​Qualification/s: 

• Dip. Remedial Massage
• 3 - 5 Years Experience
• Level 3 JKI Internal Training and/or additional qualifications in other treatment techniques

​Ideal For:

• Complex pain and injury management, connecting the dots across multiple areas
• Persistent or recurring musculoskeletal issues requiring a comprehensive approach
• Elite sports performance and recovery strategies with a focus on mobility and movement patterns
• ​Recovery from major health event /serious injury/ trauma

Principal Massage Therapist (PRI)​

Therapist/s:  Gavin, Kat, Ethan, Serena  (HICAPS)
Qualification/s: 

• Dip. Remedial Massage
• 5 years experience + &/ additional education
• Level 4 JKI Internal Training

How long should I book in for?

30 Mins Massage

​​Short on time? Our massage therapists can get through a lot in 30 minutes! Book in for a 'quick tune up' or tightness/ pain in one area of the body for example neck pain.

Please note these can only be booked online after your first session. 

45 Mins Massage

Most Popular Booking

Our therapists are friendly, efficient and highly trained. Book in for a 45min appt if you have 1 - 2 areas of the body you want treated for example, neck and shoulders or lower back and legs. This is also a great length of time for kids and teens or pregnancy massage.

60/ 90 Min Massage

​Highly recommended for an initial appointment, if you have a complex condition or injury, or need treatment for multiple areas. This type of treatment is also great if you want a full body deep tissue or sports style massage. ​

*90 minute massages are great in you require a more comprehensive assessment and/or exercise/ stretching/ strength recommendations at the end of your session.

 ​What to expect:

• JKI massage and remedial massage therapists provide assessment based treatment specific to you and your needs.
• Your massage therapist will perform treatment after gaining an understanding of your current complaints, previous injuries, and the underlying factors that are causing and/or contributing to your tightness or injury. 
• You will be required to under go a short screening and/or physical assessment and a thorough health history.
• Your therapist will discuss a treatment plan so you can understand why they have chosen to take this path.
•  Your therapist will ask you through out your massage about the pressure and if it is appropriate. Please let them know if it too uncomfortable or not hard enough.

Initial Consultations last between 45 - 90 minutes including assessment time. Please arrive five minutes before your initial appointment to fill out your health history form.
