As a first-time Kosci 27km trail runner I wanted to give a shout out to the team that got me to the start line – Just Knead It – but also give heart to those that know the truth of trail running – it takes time and scars are cool.
With consistent training, the body becomes more efficient at exercise, bones and joints get stronger and the brain improves at transmitting those sneaky little signals about what you should be doing with your hands and feet.
And until then, the crew at East Brisbane’s Just Knead are there to pick you up and dust you off – trigger points, neural flossing, mobility work all the good stuff that fixed my lower back and calf and got me to the start line at Bullock’s Flat at Thredbo.
Damn was that run pretty – wildflowers all over mountain, bubbling creeks and haunting snow gums … but here’s a trail running secret, core stability is crucial to performance. Who knew? The team at Just Knead It did.
